Lumbar Spine Fusion

If utilization in Spine Service Areas everywhere in Maine were the same, the bars would all be the same length. We expect that utilization will be slightly different in one region when compared to the rest of the state. However, lumbar fusion utilization in Lewiston is significantly higher than the statewide average and all other Spone Service Regions. This observation invites further investigation.
